Day courses last approximately 8hrs and include a foraged themed lunch cooked on a campfire. These courses are hands on and will involve harvesting of wild species for food, drink and medicine.
A full day course focussing on plant based foraging. At this time of year there are an abundance of plants in flower or fruiting and this makes it an ideal time to nail down a lot of plant ID with specimens showing you their true colours and full suite of features! The day will be split between harvesting and processing activities.
The autumn is a very abundant time of year with trees and plants either fruiting or in seed and many of the fungi species putting in their annual appearance too. On this course you'll learn how to safely engage with fungi as well as plants so you can take full advantage of what's on offer.
This full day course is for the novice forager wishing to learn more about the wonderful world of mushrooms beyond "can I eat it?". Fungi are so much more than just a wild food source and all the different families and species found along the way will be looked at.
